Oh my goodness.... (non-sim related)

I had an infection in a tooth the other day that really had me worried, so I made an appointment for this morning at a dentist.  Now, I knew it was an infection...I knew at least one tooth was going to have to go.  What I didn't know was how bad the infection was, and that I have 4 teeth that need to go and 2 of them are impacted (they grew, but are still under the gum surface).

I have to get 4 teeth pulled.

I think I almost fainted at hearing that.

That was me fainting after hearing how much it will cost.

Needless to say, this will not be something that will be done anytime in the immediate future (maybe next month if we can get the money saved up), but for now, I'm on Amoxicillan and pain killers (even though I told the dentist I was actually not currently in any pain--I guess it's good to have just in case). I like the dentist though...he was very nice, made me feel very calm, and was very gentle, so when I do go to get this done..I will be going back to him.   While he was examining my teeth, I almost fell asleep in the chair (dang those chairs are comfortable!!!!) lol.

oh dear...

The Seasons vs. Magic Ep is in full force war since the latest findings of the rumored EP7 magic and fairy codes in one of the Showtime files.

This can't end well....

 




As much as I wish for Seasons, I'm excited for the possibility of a Magic EP.

So I'm not for either/or.  I want both!

Taking a break from my WIP house

To try and create a celeb-sim. I looked on sims3updates.net and Mod the sims, and was shocked to see there were no uploads of this sim. Will update if he (hint lol) comes out well. If not, then I think I'll know why he's never been created (too difficult to replicate in sims 3 maybe?)...we'll see.

How Interesting...

I  just had a thought while taking a look at my studio...specifically "The Edgemoor-unfurnished/shell"...

Four days ago I uploaded the shell of my Edgemoor house to my studio.  I decided to do this as a shell first because so many people like the user created houses, but don't like the CC that may transfer with it.  I don't want to neglect anyone from downloading one of my houses, if they like it, because of some CC (even though it is safe and ran through Delphy and Custard before going into my game) I may use (and they may want to keep their games CC-free), and I dislike using only EP/Store/SP items (specifically decor items like photos and flowers).

So imagine my surprise when I see that in four day, my shell has gotten less than 100 downloads, yet the houses I am able to upload to my studio that are completely furnished (and have some CC in them), skyrocket to anywhere between100-500 downloads in about 24 hours (depending on the house etc.).  I thought this house would well have exceeded those downloads since it is a shell and can be furnished how they like.

So, I think,  it will be interesting when I upload the furnished version (granted that it will upload to my studio (prays)) to see how many downloads it gets in its first four days on the exchange opposed to the shell.




On a totally unrelated note:

Thank you mediafire for deleting almost all of my recent uploads (Starting from January 27 on). Even some items that have only been uploaded for about 1 month are being deleted. Thanks a lot!

New house! WIP

I just absolutely loved the house we got our couch from and decided to replicate it in my game.  It's not exact, but it's pretty darn close--pretty good for not having the exact floorplan.  I found a floorplan very similar to the way the house was laid out, so I took that floorplan into "photo-shop" and moved the garage to the other side...removed some unnecessary rooms, added a basement...and this is how it has come out.  It's not done, still a WIP. But the shell and landscaping is done! Just thought I would share.  ♥

Non-sims related post!

So excited!  We're getting a "new" (new to us) couch this morning!  It's a large 10' x 10' L-Shaped couch and is just shy of being 4' deep--yes, 4' deep.  )

We're also getting a coffee table and end table set, and a victorian style recliner (which I don't have a pic of yet...)

Can't wait to get them in our house!

Maybe you should get your facts straight before blaming a company, a company that hasn't had anything to do with the sims games since The Sims 2, for your issues with The Sims 3. In fact, since you are clearly too impatient to wait for the creators of those mods/CC, you claim you have, to update them, and again, blame a company that not only has nothing to do with the game anymore, but also has absolutely no control over user created mods/CC , you shouldn't be playing the game anyway.

Not interested in the new patch/update

Nope, not one bit.  Not planning on getting "Showtime" either.  Don't need to see notifications of what is going on in my, and "my friends" (and friends of my friends) sim pages from the officials in my game.  I play my game to get away from reality (and the internet), and to have fun.

I know you can turn the feature off, but I don't need to see "a friend", or a "friend of a friend" spamming the sim pages that they are "bored", or "are hungry" or whatever, in my game.

This notification system should have been added to the site when they chose to make "Simbook".  If you're going to copy "Facebook", do it right.


Could you imagine the amount of notifications you would have gotten in your game if you had this patch yesterday during the 14+ hour upload fiasco?  I think my computer would have shut my game down in protest!
