I'm starting to get worried a bit...
I worry a lot. lol
And this is a new one for me.
As any of you that read my blog know, we got 6 baby chicks. When we got them, we were told they would be ready (big/old enough) for a coop (or in this case, our barn) in 4-5 weeks. We have about 3 weeks to get the barn ready for them to go in there, which seems like a lot of time, but it's not....not really. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to the barn. It's desperately needs to be cleaned out (hasn't been used in years and has over time been used to shelter stray barn cats and other "creatures", I'm sure, since we've seen, what we can only come to the conclusion of, is rat droppings) on top of which since the "wild" animals have taken over the barn we need to make sure the part of the barn the chicks will be going into is secure from any predators, AND we need to make a outdoor chicken run so they can go outside on the nice days. None of this has really happened, and the chicks are getting big (we recently had to put a screen securely over their brooder because they have been trying to jump/fly out). We did try to get started on cleaning out the barn the day after we brought home the chicks, but we realized there was just so much junk in there that we need to borrow a friend, or family members, truck to haul the crap off to the dump.
I am worried my chicks won't have a place to go when they are ready...I worry we will rush getting it ready just so we can get them into the barn and overlook something thus leading to predators finding a way into the barn and killing all my chicks within their first week in the barn. I can't believe how attached I've grown to my chickens.

Landon is not a happy camper....
This is what you get for trying to set a boobie-trap in mom and dad's personal bathroom! Take out the trash! And wipe that sour-puss look off your face...
LoL

Bigelow Cottage
Bigelow Cottage inspired by the cottage house in the movie "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman.
I've always loved that little house and wanted to have it in my game. Unfortunately, there are no floor plans that I could find of the house on the internet, so this house is laid out by moi. :)
Hope you like it as much as I do! Played tested, mostly CC free (I believe there are only three 3rd party CC items I've used which are listed below). Also includes two spare rooms for you to decorate how you like! :)

Simmies...
I'm itching to make another "celeb" simmie, but can't settle on one. Tried to do Jennifer Garner a few weeks ago, and she came out pretty good, but the hair....can't seem to find the right hair for her, so she's sitting in the bin until I find "just the right hair" for her.
Been thinking of doing Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasly/Potter) from the "Harry Potter" movies, but then I just sort of wrinkle up my nose at that idea.
Then I've thought about Mila Kunis, but I have a feeling she might not come out very well....not sure.
Also on my thought list of celebs to make:
Hugh Grant
Julia Roberts
Kate Winslet (although I tried once and it she didn't come out very good)
Hugh Jackman
Maggie Smith (from younger days)
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Maybe I'll just actually "play" my game until I get motivated to create that "perfect" celeb sim. :p
Any suggestions are welcome! I keep thinking of the same celebs each time... Can't seem to get past those actress'...actors are welcome too!

It's no ones business what decisions I make!
Reading though this thread, http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/516145.page , on the officials I had to make a personal comment about it.
:?
And I handle it is by telling those people, who think they are doing the community a service by making a negative comment to me publicly, "it was/is non of your business to say to me what you think of my decision. Would you want people going around and "Shaming, or lecturing" you for the choices you've made? No. Would it make you upset if they did? Yes. Would you say they had that right to shame you, or lecture you, about your choice(s)? I would hope you would tell them to mind their own business.
My daughter is loved, by both me and her father. She is happy and healthy. She has a roof over her head, and food on her plate 3 times a day. She has clothes on her back, and toys to keep her occupied. Her father and I live together and she knows we love each other because it shows by how happy we all are. Would any of that change if we were married? No. Does she care if we're married? No. It's your right to have an opinion, just as it was my right to make the decisions I made to have her. It is not your right to lecture me, or shame me, make negative comments about her/my decision to have her, and it is definitely not okay for you to do this to me in front of her, for the decisions I make you don't agree with--you are not the decision maker in what I do.
If you must lecture someone, shame/lecture those that have kids that don't take care of them, that use the public assistance programs for things other than what they're meant to be used for (selling them for drugs, lying to get more out of the system etc.), who abuse the system. Lecture/shame the ones that abuse their kids just because they were annoyed at them, or of the ones that allow their kids to go hungry while they are out doing lord only knows what, or the ones that think it's okay to leave a small child alone while they run an errand. Don't sit on your soapbox and shame me for a personal decision I made because it's not the decision you would have made, or think is the proper decision to makefor --it's not your right to put me down for my decisions. Don't shame me for not doing what society thinks I should have done because I'm sure you're not perfect nor have made the "perfect" decision(s) sometime in your life. It's my life, and if you don't like it, the nice thing about that is...you can walk away and ignore it---just as I'm about to do to you and your ignorant lecturing." --and yes, I've had the displeasure of this happening to me before .
This is not to be directed to any of you that believe that one should be married before having kids. I'm not bitter about the ones that believe that is the way it should be. Heck, I even wanted it to be that way, but life doesn't always play out the way we always want it to. This is for the ones that think they have a right to lecture me for the decisions I make, more specifically---my decision to have my daughter before getting married. If you think it's wrong that's fine.
As for the game...I'd rather it not be in the game, and I would choose that even if I hadn't had a child out of wedlock.
