Oh my gosh... gimme dat couch!! I thought mine was a bit of a monster but woah.. who needs a bed when you have that! Actually, good job I dont have that couch or I'd be a real couch potato LOL Enjoy <3
It's taking a bit to get used to. We went from a 7ft two cushion (like a love seat but bigger) reclining couch to this. It's weird not being crammed on top of each other when we sit on the couch. :P I have to get creative now on how to make room to workout now since the coffee table is in the middle of the room now. :P
Ah yes the rearranging of the furniture can always be a bit 'hmmmmm...where shall I put this now?' I have a second hand couch too and I love it, it's so comfortable aswell! It's only a 3 seater but deep like a small bed. I dont have the measurements but it's a Laura Ashley couch with leather arms. I managed to pick it up for a measley £60.. I love rich people sometimes lol
IKR?! The husband gave us a chair (not pictured) because he just wanted to get rid of it. It was such a cute little chair and had a matching ottoman, but it needed a bit of cleaning (it was a pale yellow-ish color) and once we got the living room set up the way it is...we realized we had no room for it. So we took it too a second hand shop (along with our old furniture) and were shocked they wouldn't take anything! We tried another second hand shop and got the same thing, no thanks. ???
I could understand if we were trying to sell this stuff, but we were just trying to get rid of it. Unfortunately, we were running out of time with the rental truck we had, so my bf made a last minute decision to take all of them...to the dump. :(
I didn't have a care in the world about what he did with our old furniture, but that little chair/ottoman.... :( I was desperately trying to find a place for it in our apartment. If we had a second bedroom, it would have worked...either a chair for our daughter (it was that small), or move her toys to her bedroom and put the chair near the floor lamp (like a reading chair). But sadly...we only have a one bedroom apartment right now, and the space is tight. :(
Aww no that's such a shame!! I also had to do something similar with some lovely furniture I had replaced when I moved into my new apartment. These beautiful solid oak units (that I shamefully replaced with Ikea stuff) - but no one would take them! I originally got them from this kinda charity place that helps out people on low income and when I got my first apartment I really needed them and they were beautiful. Too big for my little hole but it was a great start. I felt awful having to take it to the dump especially as they served me so well for so long and in beautiful condition. I wish I had a big old manorhouse where I could collect and store these things xx
