A house I uploaded 2 days ago looked like this in Custard and notice the name on the sims3pack thumb:
Now...thanks to EA, this is what it looks like:
(same file--downloaded it from my studio)
Aaaannnnndddd with custard:
Thanks a lot EA!
Others have mentioned this as well.
Thanks to dachshundsr4me's thread, I would never have known this:
All files on exchange are corrupt

Ugh, I'm sorry about that :/ I saw your post on the EA forums about that too, and it is super maddening >:/
ReplyDeleteI really hope EA cleans up the mess they made.
I'm actually thinking of uploading stuff to both Mediafire and the Exchange so if one of the sites messes up with my uploads, I at least have a backup. But I digress. Lol :)
Do not upload from media fire. Basically everything from media fire gets deleted.
DeleteYeah, I that's what I've been thinking of doing too. I know a couple of other simmers that do that as well, and now after this (and that fiasco with mediafire)...it may not be a bad idea! Only I think I'll do it with 4shared or rapidshare...as long as they don't pull my creations down as well. It's been so long since I've uploaded anything to Mediafire...I may even give them a try again.
ReplyDeleteExplains, to a degree, why my house got such low downloads as well. Which I couldn't figure out since most of my houses get about 100-300 downloads in the first couple of days from uploading them.
DeleteI feel bad for you for such a tough time you've been having with your houses and such :/
ReplyDeleteI have no clue how to upload to Mediafire/4shared or any other ones. I kind of prefer Mediafire. But if you say that it takes off items randomly, I might not use it then.
I think I'm most likely going to use Mediafire though ^_^
I hope it gets better for you! ^_^
Well, other people that use mediafire, have had no problems with the site or their uploaded creations. Which brings me to think that maybe someone is reporting my creations (for whatever reason--maybe to steal them?), and thus causing mediafire to bring down my files.
DeleteEA are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Less, because at least you could eat the teapot.
ReplyDelete:( I love your houses. I did just check my sims I recently uploaded and they weren't corrupted, so I'm guessing it's just a lot thing? Although the exchange keeps borking one sim I try and upload - no image shows up in my studio, just the name of the item, and the launcher says there is an error, no matter how many times I re-upload the sim to it >.<
Seeing as EA and both the majority of the sims community suck, I have to ask myself why I'm even here..
LoL! Love that comparison!
DeleteHmmmm...interesting. I wonder if it WAS just affecting the lots. Glad to hear your uploads didn't get affected. Never thought to see if a sim would be affected if I uploaded it.
I had the same thing happen to me a few times. No matter how much I stripped it of the CC I used, and took off the changed image, it wouldn't upload. Irritates the snot out of me when it does that. :/
I just downloaded your lot fine :S :S It doesn't show up as corrupted and installed perfectly too. Seriously confused here. Would me having Sims 3 playing in the background make a difference to how things are downloaded?
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know! :D ♥ I guess they finally fixed it. Yay!
