I decided to take it upon myself to find out if the story of the assistant being too scared to type up a draft of Susan Hill's "The Woman in Black" was true or not! (Now...I never said she didn't write up her novels...I said it was an assistant that typed up a hand written version of it).
After TMN said that the story of the assistant was all "hype",
knowing I had read it on Susan Hill's website (that is where I got my source in the first place) I went looking for my source. I couldn't find it. I went to Susan Hill's contact page and found an email and after a while of debating if I should send an email to her, yes...I emailed her (I was not expecting a response!) because I'm that type of person that needs to have that verification. I told her I had a bet with a friend on whether the story was true or not (lol). I got an email back this morning. This is it:
