Legacy family update

I move my legacy family to Sunlit Tides and remodeled the exterior of their house.

The weird thing is, the bride, Felicity, lives at home with mom and dad, abd when Felicity went to plan the wedding and invite everyone, her mother and father were not in the list of people to invite (she is best friends with her mother, and has a very high relationship status with her father).  I figured this was because they were all in the same household, and since they were in the household they would automatically go to the wedding (which was on a community lot). Both parents were home at the time that I got the pop up that the first guest had shown up for the party, so it wasn't that anyone was at work or anything.  Felicity's two brothers and her sister-in-law showed up, but not the parents.  When I finally sent Felicity and Eric home, I saw that mom and dad were still home...in their formal wear.  I don't understand why I wasn't able to invite them to the community lot for the wedding and why they didn't automatically go. Is it because they are still in the active household and I needed to tell them to go to the community lot? They missed their only daughters wedding!!!!

Anyway....

I also moved the family to Sunlit Tides and remodeled the exterior of their house they had in Lucky Palms. Not a big change...the house went from looking like this:

To this:

I actually prefer it more after its remodel. ^_^

Also, exciting news for my simself and my bf's simself.  They are getting their first grand-baby!  Their second oldest son, Logan, and his "girlfriend" are expecting a baby! ^_^

It's exciting for me too because I've never gotten past Generation 2 whenever I've tried to do a legacy family in the past.  I'm actually really enjoying my game much more than I thought I would at this point.  I guess I am one of those players who play the legacy's for genetics because I cannot wait to see how his baby looks, or how Felicity's child will look once she gets pregnant. ^_^

Sims 4...

Nooooot!
Just another member thinking they found out some new information about when sims 4 is going to be announced/released soon, and this time---the source is from a personal blog with no real credible source to back up their, months old, claim.

So she goes on to say that she read some news about sims 4 and that, for her, it's bad news.  Why?  Your source, which wasn't posted until page 3, was not a credible source of factual info, but a blog basing their "speculations".

A personal blog is the source of your information?
Where did this member hear that it might come out in 6 months?

That blog post (created on Jan. 06), sorry I don't/can't find that blog a credible source---"The Sims 4 will be the next game of the Sims series.", no...the next game in the sims series (if you're reading their blog for the first time now) to be released is Supernatural, and at the time that that blog was created...it was Showtime--which they even stated two paragraphs later, so they contradicted their fist assumption (and that's all this blog post of theirs is),  even go to state, "the Sims 4 will be released not far from the beginning of 2014"...even if that turns out to be true (and that's the only thing I believe to anywhere near a fact), that's a pretty far time away even if they were to release it near the end of 2013, it's more than 6 months.  I think if we were really getting it in 6 months we would be hearing/seeing more confirmation of the game coming out and not so many rumors. My intention is not to be rude or anything, but I wouldn't take that blog too seriously, guys.  Anyone can make the speculations they did and put it up on a blog (hell, you can say what I'm saying now is just an speculation of what they are saying! Confused yet?  I did, and I wrote/thought it! LOL).  IMO, it was a blog post of their opinions...not facts. No source links to back up their claims that "the best-selling PC game in history (!) is already making voices of the next game to come: The Sims 4." Where did they get that info? Link?  And if they were able to find it so easily, why isn't everyone else able to as well? And if they do have sources that prove that to be correct, why not link it to your readers? Not saying it's not true because I have no source to say whether it is or not, but if you're going to put that out there as a "matter of fact" claim...don't you think you should have some sort of source to back up your information?

So if she is saying that in 6 months from the time that blog was posted we were suppose to get Sims 4, then we should have gotten it by now.  Nothing in that blog has any concrete, credible, source of when the sims 4 is going to be announced/released.  I guess people are getting so excited, and worked up, over the idea of sims 4 possibly coming out within the next few years...they'll believe anything as "source" involving the mention of the sims 4...even if it's just speculations from fellow bloggers.

Chill out people!!!!

Wow. I think a lot of people on the officials are getting ahead of themselves with the rumor that Seasons means the end of the Sims 3 series. So many people saying that it will end after Seasons is released.
Why?
My theory is because about 2 or 3 EP's ago, people who wanted Seasons were speculating it would be the last EP to be made (because it was taking so long to be made/announced/released). Well, now it's been announced and because it's been announced (and the earlier speculation that it would be the last EP for Sims 3) people are speculating it's the end of this series. Dang, I even saw people asking what computer could/would be good enough to run both Sims 4 and Sims 3!!!!

How would be know what the specs are for Sims 4 when we don't even know when/if it will be released! I mean, good gawd, people are ready to move on before we even get Supernatural and Seasons! Enjoy Sims 3 and the Ep's/Sp's we got/are getting...Sims 4 will be here when/if it gets here. DANG!

Look what I found this afternoon

Look what I found this afternoon.

So here is the story. They are born "wild cats" or kittens born to a "feral cat".  We live on a farm that has 2 acres.  We had just put our chickens out in their new chicken coop this weekend, today was their second day out in the coop.  They still are a little nervous and need to be coaxed out of the coop.  So around 12:30pm, my daughter and I went out to coax the chickens out. I was just hanging around with the chickens after I got them all out when my daughter and I both heard this loud, tiny yowling.  I knew immediately what it was, but the way it was crying it sounded like it was in distress, so we followed the cries. Sure enough, I found one black kitten tangled up in some overgrown pricker bushes near one of the old sheds that are on the property.  I ran and got my boyfriends gloves, and then went back to where the kitten was.  I was actually half expecting the mom to have heard the cries and be there retrieving her baby, but she wasn't there.  I put on the gloves and started to push through the bushes.  I had to stomp down a bunch to get to the kitten (did it really have to be right smack in the middle of the pricker bushes).  This kitten was smart.  As soon as she/he saw me, instead of trying to get away, (s)he came toward me and once I was close enough to it, it climbed right onto my glove, and up my arm! Perched itself on my shoulder!  As I made my way out, I heard another cry.  Sure enough, there was another identical looking kitten in a very worn down trailer that was covered in the pricker bushes.
 Oy.
I took kitten #1 and put it in a box with a fleece blanket (the one in the pictures), I then made my way back into the brushes to retrieve the second kitten.  This one wasn't as sure of me as its sibling. I don't know if it purposely went down into the trailer (which is covered with old plywood, and scrap metal along with some junk), or if it had slipped down, but I had to dig into the trailer to get it.  Once I located it, it climbed up on my arm as the first one had done.  With both kittens safely away from the prickers, I set the box near the area I found them.  I was hoping that the mother would come back and take them to a new, safer spot. Every few hours (2 or 3 hours) I went out and checked the box.  The kittens were there each time.  4 hours later, I got a call from my bf on his last break from work.  I told him what happened and what I had done with them.  I told him that they couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 weeks old, and then without giving him a chance to respond I told him that if they were still in the box, with no indication of mom having returned, at the time I was putting the chickens in their coop (around 8:30pm) I was bringing them in the house for the night.  To my surprise, he didn't object (he is severally allergic to cats--as am I).  He then told me that he would ask if anyone he worked with would be interested in adopting them from us (for free of course).  If not, he told me he would leave me the car on Wednesday to take them to a rescue.

So at 8:40pm I went out and put my chickens in their coop then made my way over to the pricker area with the box.  My heart sank as I looked inside and saw the two kittens still in there.  8 hours after I had initially finding them, and they were still in the box with no indication that mom had been back to that area.  I gathered up the box and brought them inside.  They have eaten a few times since being inside (about 15ml each), but one doesn't seem very keen on eating...at least not from a infant syringe.  They are really sweet little kittens.  One loves to play with my daughter and will follow her wherever she goes (this is the one I'd want to keep if we could). They are doing much better in the house than I think they would have had I left them outside to see if mom came back for them--I just couldn't stand the idea of leaving them out there to fend for themselves knowing there are owls and hawks that live in the nearby trees. They definitely would not have made it out there alone.  As far as the mom goes...not sure what happened to her.  She could have been hit by a car, hurt, or just abandoned them (contrary to belief--a mother cat will not abandon her babies if they have been handled by humans---it's a myth--same with birds). Then there is the possibly that our dog, Jake, has scare her off so much that she just never came back.  My bf contradicted himself after I told him it could be this possibility saying that Jake has never gone after any cats.  Not true.  He mentioned to me just 2 days ago, that Jake had gone after a cat (the one I believe is the mother), and I had seen him go after this same cat a few weeks before.  But since this last chase off...neither of us have seen her around, and then I found the kittens.
