So I see this in the GD today.
So the OP wants to know if people would download this sim and refuses to upload this sim until they know a ton of people would download it thus giving them a ton of downloads. *moment to roll my eyes at that*
Well, my immediate thought was that there is no way to know if it would get a lot of downloads as is, or if the OP made adjustments to the sim. There are a lot of creations out there that are overlooked and have lower download/rec numbers when they really deserve more than what they got.
At first I thought the sim wasn't that bad, I still don't. I thought she looked unique. The Op says that they wanted her to have a nice face. Well, what you might think is nice is obviously going to differ from the next person or the next 1,000 people. The OP says that if she's not good enough they will have to go back and work on her for another hour. At this point, I 'm thinking,
"Give me a frigging break. Why the hell should you care if others think it's good enough or not? Just because you want to have tons of downloads? All that should matter is if you like her or not."
So in came some members giving their two cents. Some said to go work on her more, some asked what the OP was going for when creating her.
^sort of contradicting yourself aren't you? Hm...red flag?

Am I really the only one that caught that? First the Op asks what they can do to make her pretty (or if she is pretty) then asks with an angry face if no one else thought she was pretty after implying that another called her "ugly" for giving some constructive criticism?
Finally, one of my favorite sim creators came in and posted exactly what I was thinking.
At this point, I started wondering if the OP was serious or not and just under Caturae's post I find this.
Oh for crying out loud...
So... anyone who disagree's that this sim is ugly is wrong, lying, and failed this pathetic "test"? Again, give me a frigging break!
I finally see this, and couldn't agree more with this memeber's post.
This. 100%
To tell someone, anyone, who said they liked the sim or thought the sim was "pretty" (just because you don't or you want people to not like them) does not make them "fail" or make them a "liar" (which also, I thought was rather lame to "test" people since you really don't have any proof if anyone really liked the sim or not based on what they said). What they think is "pretty" is not necessarily going to be what you, or anyone else, thinks is pretty. And to tell someone they are wrong in their opinion of what beauty is, is wrong in itself.
Honestly, I don't think the sim the OP created as a "test" (and I say test with the most sarcastic voice I can think of) was that bad, and is pretty because she isn't the "stereotypical" beauty and has flaws (as real people do...so it made me wonder, does that mean that if a real person thinks a real person the OP didn't think was stereo-typically pretty, is pretty, they are a liar? I think that just makes them less shallow than you if you want me to be honest).
So saying that I think this sim is "pretty" makes me a fail your stupid little test, and dishonest because it's not the answer you're fishing for? Really? Then so be it. You have no proof with your test if someone saying they thought the sim was pretty or not, was being honest or not, to begin with unless they came out and told you they were lying! And even then, if they said the sim was pretty and then turned around to say they were lying about it, then there is still no way of knowing which was the truth! Even the ones that were saying, "I failed I guess" doesn't necessarily mean that you were right.
Sounds like the only one that failed this test was you, OP, because there is no right or wrong answer when it involves someone's opinion and, again, to tell someone their opinion is wrong is stupid. So stupid.
I have to agree with Gigidawn... Not sure what the point of your experiment was other than to prove, there are more nice folks on the forums then there are trolls.
Although I would change that slightly to, "...there are a lot of different opinionated people on the forums".
